What is speed dating?
An equal number of men and women attend a venue and each person gets to spend 5 minutes with each member of the opposite sex and then decide whom they would like to meet again. We host all our events in stylish, fashionable venues across India.  The idea is for single people to meet in a safe environment, have a fun night out and make new friends.

Before an Event

• You search on our site at http://www.5minutesdate.com/ for an event in your area that you would like to attend and register for it. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

• On the day of the event you will be asked to confirm your attendance or find a replacement should you no longer be able to attend.

During an Event

• As you arrive we will have a registration desk to confirm your attendance at India's first speed dating event. You will be given a number and half an hour before the dates begin our hosts will explain the rules.

• Simply put, ten women meet ten men in organized tables and every five minutes the men rotate to the next table. At the end of each five minutes date you complete your scorecard - if you want to contact/meet person again you tick on "interesting", or "not happening" if you don't want to have any further contact.

• At the end of the speed dating session, you drop off your scorecards with the hosts. Normally, most people will stay behind, the bar will remain open and you can mingle with who ever you think you clicked with.

After an Event

• The following day, we will send you an email with the first name and email address only, of those you "matched" with. A match happens when two people tick each other as "interesting".

• For all your matches you will get their first name and email address only. Mobile phones, photos and other personal information are optional to our customers.

• Our customers are then able to contact their matches via email and fix up follow-up dates at their own discretion. We will keep details on our web site of events for up to six months.
